Jonathan W. Spangler 69 of Blacksburg went to be with the Lord on Tuesday November 11, 2014 in Lewis Gale Medical Center in Montgomery County.
John was born on August 13, 1945 in Shawsville, VA and was 1 of 10 children born to Isaac E. Spangler and Ethel B. Craighead. He was preceded by his eight brothers and is survived by his one sister, Mary R. Haymaker, and husband Wayne of Virginia Beach, VA; along with three sisters-in-law and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a few great aunts and uncles.
John is a United States Army Vietnam Service Veteran and a member of DAV, Chapter VA29.
Jean Pauley will deliver his cremains to his mom and dad’s cemetery, The Spangler family Cemetery in Shawsville, VA. for a private graveside service.
