Thomas "Cecil" Dunbar, 76, of Stewartsville area of Bedford , passed away peacefully in the Hospice Care Center at The VA Medical Center in Salem. He was born in Botetourt County on August 26, 1935 to Tom & Lenna Dunbar. Mr. Dunbar graduated from Montvale High School, and served as a radioman in the Navy during the Korean War. He worked as a security officer for 22 years with Able Security at Yokohama Tire in Salem. He is survived by his wife Loama; Children, Timothy Dunbar and wife Debra, Brian Dunbar, Michael Dunbar and partner Edna, Elizabeth Brock and husband Arthur, Joann Ellis, Edwin Matchett, Ann Benge and husband Scott, Loama Perkins and husband Richard, and Maronda "Roni" and fiancé Micah Boswell; sister, Loraine Guthrie; special nephew Edward Guthrie and wife Debbie; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends as well as share a meal from 5:30 p.m. until service time Monday, September 26, 2011, at Goodview Baptist Church all are welcome to join. Memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2011, at Goodview Baptist Church, come celebrate Cecil's life with friends and family who loved him.
