Kathryn (Kate) Trollinger Redford 56 of Roanoke originally from Graham, NC went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 24, 2011. She was preceded by her parents, James and Gladys Trollinger and a brother, Marvin Trollinger.
Kate worked for Dr. Wayne Davis for fourteen years and was a friend of Bill W.
Surviving are her loving and devoted husband of eight years, Sidney Redford; son, Patrick Neal Lowe; daughter, Patricia Lowe Farris and husband Todd; grandchildren. Seth Hurley, Tyler Hurley, Lexis Hurley all of Roanoke; brother, Richard Trollinger of Ky.; sister, Brenda Trollinger Canney of Roanoke; best friend, Janie Stidham; very special friend Jerry Lawrence and many other friends and relatives.
The family would like to thank the staff of the 10th floor at Roanoke Memorial Hospital for the care and support during this time. Flowers are welcomed along with memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project, Attn: Donor Services, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL. 32256 in her name. A memorial service celebrating Kate's life will be held 2:00pm Sunday, August 28, 2011 in the Simpson Funeral Home with Wayne Ellis officiating.
