Robert E. (Bob) Delp, 71, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord and his puppies on Monday, August 8, 2011. In addition to his puppies he was preceded in death by his father and mother, Sebert and Madge Delp, three sisters and two brothers. Surviving are his sons, Robert Eugene Delp, II and wife Heather of Winston-Salem, N.C.; Jonathan (Jon) C. Delp and special friend Laura Saul of Pulaski; step son, Wayne (Beebo) Stinnett and wife Angela of Roanoke; grandchildren, Jeremy Delp, Jonathan (JC) Delp, II, Jordan Delp, Brittany Ortiz, Amber Delp, Taylor Stinnett, and Trae Stinnett; great grandchild, Hampton Delp; sister, Margaret Anne Kirby-Ratcliff of Salem; special friends, Barbara Waldron, Charlie and Sharon Hall and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial gifts be made to the funeral home to help with Bob's funeral expenses. Funeral services will be conducted 8 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2011 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. Roy Canode.
