Margie Kornfeld Rector, 82, of The Oaks @ Richfield Retirement Community in Salem passed away, Wednesday, June 22, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert N. Rector, Sr. Surviving are her son, Robert N. Rector, Jr. and wife Faith of Roanoke; granddaughters, Tara Lynn Rector and fiancee Jay Perez of Huddleston; Lauren R. Doino and husband David of Rocky Mount, NC; sister, Josefine Wiendl and husband Herbert; niece, Gabriele Bugler and husband Christopher of San Bruno, California; nephews, Herbert Wiendl and wife Seka; Walter Wiendl and wife Anette. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Richfield Foundation 3615 W. Main Street Salem, Va. 24153 for the construction of a new Community Center for the Residents. A graveside service will be conducted 10 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2011 in Virginia Memorial Park Forest, Virginia.
