Ruth Dillon Eidson, 85, of Pfafftown, North Carolina (formerly of Roanoke) went home to be with the Lord, thursday, June 9, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence B. Eidson. Ruth was a School Bus Driver for Roanoke County Schools, retiring after 31 years of service. Surviving are her daughters, Jeannie E. Hurt of Williamsburg; Jacqueline E. Turner and husband Steve of Pfafftown, NC; son, Lawrence B. Eidson and wife April of Kernersville, N.C.; step daughter, Cheryl Plott and husband Jimmy of Marietta, Georgia; grandchildren, Allison and Keaton Hurt; Emily Hurt Mountcastle and husband Bobby; Andrew and Garrett Turner; Dillon Eidson; great grandson, Eli Hurt; four step grandchildren, two step great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Simpson Funeral home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor Russell Gordon. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
