Please share a memory of Margaret to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Margaret S. Agner, 80, of Roanoke passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2011. She follows her husband of 57 years, Charles (Skippy) Agner, who passed away on March 28, 2011. They were separated for only 48 days. Margaret worked in the office of a law firm for years, as well as a florist's shop with her sister Virginia. Her favorite hobby was birding with her best friend, Isabelle Woods. Whether she would have admitted it or not, Margaret was the strong center of her family. They will remember and cherish her unselfish love, her patient strength, and her mischievous laugh. Along with her husband, Margaret is preceded in death by her mother, Judy Mary Scott and her father, Leonard Gilbert Scott. She is survived by her two children, Mark Agner and Mary Jaye Morgan and their spouses, Melissa and Jay; her sister Virginia Weimer and her best friend, Isabelle Woods; her five grandchildren, Mary Margaret Morgan, Emily Morgan, Jacob Agner, Mason Agner, and Mary Grace Agner. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Wildlife Rescue C/O Dorothy Runion 5931 Cotton Hill Road Roanoke, Virginia 24018. A funeral service will be conducted 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. Dave Rochford.
