Florence Margaret Redman of Roanoke made the journey to heaven on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at age 84. She was born November 1, 1926 to Guy Lacy and Kathleen Ruby Nutty. She passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family. She retired from Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Granny enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family. Surviving are her children and their spouses, Charles (Iva) Redman of Covington; Nancy (Sidney) Vess of Fincastle; Jimmy Redman of Roanoke; JoAnn (Howell) Conner of Troutville; and Kathy (Jerry) Bennett of Dublin; seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren; two very special friends, Fern Cone and Joyce Caldwell. A memorial service will be conducted 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. J. R. Graybill. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
