Carl E. (Teeter) Clinebell, 90, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord, Monday, May 2, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene H. and Bessie Overacre Clinebell, brothers, Floyd, and Linwood Clinebell, and sisters, Eva McCall, Blanche Leonard, Elsie Cottrell, and Georgie Flowers. Mr. Clinebell enjoyed a long career as a Master Carpenter and Custom Home Builder. Surviving are his wife, Joyce Brown Clinebell; sons, Carl E. (Sunny) Clinbell, Jr. and wife Anita; Richard G. (Rick) Clinebell, alll of Roanoke; step children, Tim Boggs of Vinton; Carmen (Candi) Boggs-Parker and husband Michael of Roanoke; grandchildren, Eric Ratcliff and wife Michelle, and Brian Boggs all of Roanoke; great granddaughter, Ericka Ratcliff; brothers, Harold Clinebell of Vinton; Raymond Clinebell and Wesley Clinebell both of Blue Ridge; sister, Evelyn Hall and husband Rufus of Vinton; a number of nieces and nephews including Blair Clinebell, Jr.; and Carl's devoted cat, Sterling. A special thank you to the staff of Good Samaritan Hospice (especially Jonathan) for their many acts of kindness during Carl's illness. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Good Samaritan Hospice 2408 Electric Road Roanoke, Va. 24018. A memorial service will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2011 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Chaplain Marvin Barbre. The family will receive friends following the service.
