Obituary of Margaret McCormick

Margaret B. McCormick 71 of Roanoke formerly of Tazwell County went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 28, 2011. She was preceded by her parents, E.B. and Gettis P. Brewer; son, Stephen McCormick; two brothers and a sister.
Mrs. McCormick spent her early years in Tazwell County before retiring to Roanoke in 1997. Spent her life as a caring, fun loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother who will be missed dearly by her grandchildren but left her family many memories to cherish.
Surviving are her loving and caring husband of 53 years, Tom McCormick; children, Doug McCormick of Wilson, N.C., Greg McCormick of Dobson, N.C., Beth Stout of Roanoke; grandchildren, Samantha, Stephanie, Zack, Josh, Brandon, Abby; sister, Frances Leake; special niece and friend, Kathy Poole along with a host of other relatives.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
In keeping with her wishes a graveside service celebrating Mrs. McCormick's life will be held 11:00am Monday, May 2, 2011 in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Pastor Ward Lester officiating.
