Obituary of William McClammer

William W. (Bill) McClammer, Jr. 66, of Troutville passed away Saturday, April 9, 2011. He was born December 22, 1944 to the late W. Walker, Sr. and Etta P. McClammer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Charles Wayne McClammer, and his faithful dog of 16 years, Patches. Bill was a talented artist and loved to work on Street Rods, having just completed the restoration of a 1930 Ford. He is survived by his wife of 26 1/2 years, Gwen Walker McClammer; daughters and sons-in-law, Jolane and Gary Flanagan, Debra and Jason Overbay; step daughters and step-son-in-law, Stephannie Kirk of Rocky Mount; Jennifer and Billy Martin of Moneta; grandchildren, Faith and Noell Overbay, Jenna and Mariah Flanagan, step grandchildren, Kelsie and Kaleb Martin and Cassidy Hunt; mother-in-law, Lois Wills of Rocky Mount; brothers in law and sisters in law, Bill Walker, Daryl and Caroline Walker of Rocky Mount; Anne and Kevin Herr of Callaway an numerous other relatives and friends. Flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made to the Building Fund C/O Pleasant Hill Baptist Church 4930 Country Club Road Troutville, Va. 24175. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church by the Rev. Kevin Wirt. Interment will follow in Daleville Cemetery.
