David (Kolmer) Reich of Roanoke went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 4, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul B. and Maggie Poston Reich; a son Jerry Reich and brothers, Paul and Milton Reich. David retired as a supervisor from Southern States. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 69 years Loretta Moulse Reich; daughters, Rebecca Padgett and husband Bill, Priscilla Holland and husband Maynard; grandchildren, Cynthia Padgett and Gill, Jonathan Holland, Michelle Hylton and husband Allen; great grandchildren, Shane Padgett, Joshua and Jacob Hylton; sister, Doris Richardson; brothers, Louis Reich and wife Ruth, Joe Reich; sister-in-law, Emma Reich. The family would like to thank Salem Rehab and Good Samaritan Hospice for their care during this time. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund, 3959 Electric Road, Suite 222, Roanoke, Va. 24018 A service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday April 6, 2011 at Simpson Funeral Home with Rev. Bennie Allen and Rev. Michael Barnett officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday April 5, 2011 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road 540-366-0707.
