Howard L. "Chucky" Paxton, Jr. 53, of Roanoke passed away Monday, March 14, 2011 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard L. Paxton, Sr. and Della Boothe Paxton. Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Dianne J. Paxton; daughter, Regina R. Paxton; sister, Carolyn Cole and husband Terry; nephew, Jason Fowler; nieces, Brandi Jancritis and Jessi Bushnell; and other family members and friends too numerous to mention. A very special thanks is extended to the staff of Carilion Hospice (especially Alan Mabry) for their many acts of kindness during Churcky's illness. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Carilion Hospice Services 1917 Franklin Road Suite B Roanoke, Virginia 24014. A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. The family will receive friends following the service.
