Obituary of Pauline Weimann

Pauline Maureen Weimann, 83, of Catawba, VA, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2011. She was born on November 1, 1927 in Newark, NJ. She is survived by her daughter Eileen Sterling and her husband Brian; daughter Kathleen Toole; daughter Sharon Karst and her husband Frank; daughter Ruth Clark and her husband Thomas; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a very special nephew, Thomas Hoffmann, whom she loved like a brother and his wife Elaine; numerous nieces and nephews. Pauline served as a member of the Alter and Rosary Society at St. Clemens Church in Matawan, NJ. Throughout her life she belonged to numerous knitting and crocheting groups which made shawls and afghans for the sick, needy and elderly. She also belonged to several quilting groups which made quilts for aids patients and cancer patients. She was retired from International Flavors and Fragrances in Hazlet, NJ and in later years made her home in SW Virginia. Pauline strongly supported the St. Francis Bread Basket and the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
