Pauline Maureen Weimann, 83, of Catawba, VA, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2011. She was born on November 1, 1927 in Newark, NJ. She is survived by her daughter Eileen Sterling and her husband Brian; daughter Kathleen Toole; daughter Sharon Karst and her husband Frank; daughter Ruth Clark and her husband Thomas; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a very special nephew, Thomas Hoffmann, whom she loved like a brother and his wife Elaine; numerous nieces and nephews. Pauline served as a member of the Alter and Rosary Society at St. Clemens Church in Matawan, NJ. Throughout her life she belonged to numerous knitting and crocheting groups which made shawls and afghans for the sick, needy and elderly. She also belonged to several quilting groups which made quilts for aids patients and cancer patients. She was retired from International Flavors and Fragrances in Hazlet, NJ and in later years made her home in SW Virginia. Pauline strongly supported the St. Francis Bread Basket and the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to The Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, 3300 Route 66, Neptune, NJ 07753 www.foodbankmoc.org or to the charity of your choice. Special thanks to the staff of The Oaks at Richfield Retirement Community for their love and wonderful care during the past three years. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM, Friday March 4, 2011 at Simpson Funeral Home and Crematory, 5160 Peters Creek Road Roanoke, VA 24019.
