Gracie Roe Griffin, 74, of Blue Ridge went home to be with the Lord, Friday, February 18, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Garland and Revonda Goff Roe, and her husband Charles Wesley Griffin. Surviving are her daughter, Teresa Mabry and husband Ron of Blue Ridge; son, Chuck Griffin of Roanoke; grandchildren, Lori Fadorick, Jason Fadorick, Brittanie Griffin, Destinie Griffin, and Kyndel Griffin; great grandchildren, Gia Riley Fadorick, and Nicholas Quackenbush; sister, Christine Henderson of Marion; and a number of nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the nursing staff at Berkshire Health Care Center and to the staff of Good Samaritan Hospice for their many acts of kindness. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2011 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
