Douglas Bryant Clark, 50 of Roanoke went home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 26, 2012, after a long illness. He was preceded by his grandfather, Charles A. Hughes and mother, Jean E. Lynch. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children, Ashley Nicole and Brandon Austin Clark; a very special woman, his ex-wife and mother of his children, Angela Clark; a brother, A. Scott Clark; sister and her husband, Traci and Robert Dalton; his father, James (Bill) Clark; eight nieces and nephews; nine great nieces and nephews and a host of other family members that held a special place in his heart along with his best companion Rocky. The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses on the Palliative Care Unit at Roanoke Memorial Hospital and his hospice team, especially Michelle Secamiglio and Stacy Royal. There will be a memorial service to celebrate his life on 1:00pm, Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Green Ridge Baptist Church. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00-12:00pm Thursday at the church. Arrangements handled by Simpson Funeral Home and Crematory. 366-0707.
