James Cade Hollett, 58, of Daleville claimed the promise of the Resurrection on Sunday, January 23, 2011. He was preceded by his father, Eugene Cade Hollett, sister, Linda Marie Hollett and a brother, Donald Eugene Hollett. Jim was a 1970 graduate of Northside High School a member and Trustee at Southview United Methodist Church and a longtime employee of E & W Machine. He was an honorary member of the Hollins Rescue Squad, served as a Trustee of Old Tombstone Cemetery, and was an active member of the Cardinal Virginia's Family Motor Coach Association. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Sarah Wright Hollett, loving children, Emily Hollett Pitts and husband Lewie; Anegela Hollett Traynham and husband Chris; James Brian Hollett; grandchldren, Lola Kathryn Hollett, Zoe Grace Pitts, and Cade Leon Traynham; mother Dorothy Marie Mason Hollett and a sister-in-law, Norma Smith Hollett. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Cancer Society. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Southview United Methodist Church by the Rev. Larry Edmonds. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. 366-0707
