Walsie Lee Martin, 65, of Roanoke passed away on Friday, February 26, 2012. He was born in Lynchburg, Virginia on January 23, 1947 to Murrell and Rachel Martin. Surviving are his devoted companion, Helene Jones, brothers, Jesse, James Ray and Murrell Martin; and a sister, Kay McGuire. Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012 in the Chapel at the Richfield Retirement Center by the Rev. Eugene Mills. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery Lynchburg, Va. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
