Paul Woodrow Doran, 91, of Roanoke, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph I. and Lutishe Shartzer Doran; wife, Geneva Slater Doran; daughter, Tenita M. Trenor; and his brothers and sisters. Mr. Doran retired after 40 years of service with Norfolk and Western Railway. He served with the United States Army during World War II. Surviving are his son, Darryl J, Doran; and Mr. Doran's caregiver, Rosa Rodriguez, both of Roanoke. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2011, at the Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road by Dr. Maurita Wiggins. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2011, at Simpson Funeral Home, 540-366-0707.
