William K. (Bill) Trent, 71, of Salem passed away Friday, October 1, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents William Carl and Angela Katherine Trent. Mr. Trent was a member of Salem Baptist Church, the Cave Spring Little League Hall of Fame and the Roanoke Valley Hockey Hall of Fame. He was the President and Owner of Dooley Printing Corporation for almost 40 years. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Janet King Trent; son, Chad Kenneth Trent and wife Amanda of Roanoke; granddaughters, Katherine Elizabeth Trent, and Allison Paige Trent; sister, Evelyn Cundiff and husband Douglas of Moneta; brother, Charles Lewis Trent and wife Laurine of New Smyrna Beach, Florida. A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, October 4, 2010 in Sherwood Memorial Park by the Rev. Everett Kier. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. 366-0707
