Deborah Jean Oliver, 56, of Rockbridge County, Va. passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2010. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jacqueline Moore. Surviving are her father, James William Moore; brother, Jeffery Glenn Oliver and wife Joyce of Asheboro, N.C.; sister, Sandra Gayle Oliver of Roanoke; niece, Angela Oliver of Asheboro, N.C.; nephews, Jason Oliver of Asheboro, Thomas Dwayne Delp and Ashley of Roanoke; Dustin Clinton Delp of Burkesville, Va.; Gregory Allen Delp and wife Brittany, great niece, LeAndra Delp, great nephew Brendon Neil Gills all of Roanoke. The family would like to thank the nursing staff of Rockbridge County Hospice, Kathy Mason, Kathy Connor, Liz Norman, Colleen Burbach, the staff at Carilion OBGYN, and Doctors, Natalie Gould and Jay Sailer for their many acts of kindness during Deborah's illness. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. Private interment in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens will be at a later date.
