Agnes V. Perdue Woolwine, 84 of Roanoke, VA. beloved wife, mother and grandmother went home to be with the Lord Friday, September 24, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Walter and Alice Townsend Perdue; husband of 60 years, William "Bill" C. Woolwine; sister, Elsie Perdue Minnick and her husband, Jack; and two sisters-in-law. Mrs. Woolwine was a member of First Baptist Church and retired from American Motor Inns. Surviving are her son Wayne Woolwine and wife Julie of Norcross, GA.; daughters, Faye W. Bullin of King, N.C., Cynthia W. Orleck of Portland, Ore., Linda W. Sotos and Sharon Wilson both of Roanoke, VA.; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brothers, Harold P. Perdue of Roanoke, Donald R. Perdue and wife Joyce of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; sisters, Claire Marie Owen of Machanicsville and olive P. Eavey and husband Gerald of Portsmouth, VA.; three brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law.The family requests that memorials take the form of donations to help with funeral expenses. Funeral Services will be conducted2p.m. Wednesday, September29, 2010 at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, Virginia, 24019 by Dr. Bill Ashford Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Simpson Funeral Home. Arrangements handled by Simpson Funeral Home and Crematory, 540-366-0707.
