Mary Anne "Pinkie" Fobare, 69, of Roanoke, Virginia passed away Monday, September 6, 2010, after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Atchison; her mother, Catherine Driscoll Atchison; a brother-in-law, Emory Fobare and nephew, Gary Fobare. Mary Anne graduated from Roanoke Catholic High School and continued to maintain her strong faith in God throughout her lifetime. She loved cats, working with flowers and she was a very gifted artist. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Donald L. Fobare. Also surviving are her two sons, Patrick Fobare and wife, Beth; Philip Fobare and wife, Melissa; her grandchildren, Corey, Chesley Anne, Charity and Olivia; sister, Kathy Reed and husband, Bill; sister-in-law Jenny Fobare; nieces and nephews, Allison Reed, Matthew Reed, and Rick Fobare. She also leaves behind a special aunt, Sister Angeline Driscoll. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to MS Society, Blue Ridge Chapter at One Morton Dr., Ste 106, Charlottesville, Virginia 22903 or Angels of Assisi at 415 Campbell Ave. SW, Roanoke, Virginia, 24016.The family will receive friends Wednesday September 8, 2010, from 6-8 PM. Funeral service will be held Thursday September 9, 2010 at 2 PM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, with interment at St. Andrews Cemetery following.
