Clarsie Sarver Furrow 95 of Salem went home to be with the Lord Friday, August 27, 2010. She was born February 6, 1915 in Ironto a daughter to the late John and Elizabeth Sarver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband Carl E. Furrow, three brothers and three sisters. She retired from Kenrose Manufacturing after more then 25 years of service. Following her retirement she worked as a sitter, helping many recover from their sickness. Was a longtime active member of the New Life Christian Ministries. Surviving are her children, Evelyn Meadors of Roanoke, Virginia, Buford Furrow of Olympia Washington, Dorsey Furrow and wife Barbara of Anderson, S.C., eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. in lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the Mission Fund, C/O New Life Christian Ministries, 5745 Airport Road, Roanoke, Virginia 24012. Funeral Service will be conducted 10:30am Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, Virginia 24019 with Rev. Walter Wood and Rev. Larry Meadors officiating. Interment will follow in the Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, August 30, 2010 from 6-8pm at Simpson funeral home 540.366.0707.
