The death of a loved on cripples us emotionally but a good source of comfort is God’s word the Bible, where Jehovah God promises us at Acts 24:15 that “There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” The sadness you feel now can be eased if you reflect on God's future promises for mankind in the Bible. This article found on Jw.org can help you further cope with the loss of your loved one. https://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/watchtower-no2-2019-may-jun/when-your-loved-one-dies/

Dear Larry, It does not seem right to see her name here. We were better than sisters so many years ago...in our teens...we grew. Betty was one of the best friends I've ever known. I was unable to attend her memorial, and I'm so sorry that I could not. This earth is going to miss her kind, positive energy, and her pretty face. I think about Myrtle. Please give her my best, Larry. Know that I'm thinking of you, and the fact that I think you are a good man for staying by her side. I still remember when you two fell in love. With love, Dreama

The Woolwine Family, We are truly sorry to hear of the passing of Betty. We know that she is in a much better place and not suffering any longer. She put up a great fight. She was such a beautiful person and loved by so many. She will be missed dearly by everyone. She will miss her boys, Dad included. A Mother is the heart and soul of a family. We don't give them enough credit. God Bless you and the family at this time. If there is anything that we can do, please let us know.

Betty and I were certainly saddened to learn of the death of Betty. What a beautiful lady and one that we will always remember. Betty was certainly a wonderful person, school supporter, and a treasured member of the administrative staff of the Roanoke County Schools Central Office. I remember her support for Glenvar High School and her enthusiastic support of her sons. Know that we are thinking about you and remembering you in our daily prayers. Dennis & Betty Semones

As I was reading the newspaper just a few minutes ago, I was so saddened to read of Betty's passing. Thought I haven't seen her in years, the one memory that stands out from our high school days is how crazy she was about Larry! From what I have read and heard about Betty she has achieved what every believer strives for: 2 Tim 4:7,8 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith. In the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous Judge will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing. I pray that God will give all those who loved her comfort and peace.

Larry, Jason & Matthew, I was saddened to learn of the passing of a much loved wife to Larry, and mother to both Jason and Matthew. I know first hand of the pain of losing a loved one to cancer as I lost my mom too. Many of my earliest memories from 25 years ago, involve your whole family as we grew up playing sports in the youth little leagues and high school, and enjoying each others friendship. I have never forgotten Betty's smile and caring heart through all these years. She will be dearly missed as you move forward, but know that she is now free of all her pain. She is in a better place, and she is looking down on you all and guiding you as you go forward. I know she was a proud woman and so proud of the three of you. She will be dearly missed. She was responsible for a lot of good in this community, and it won't be the same without her. May peace find your hearts soon, and may her love live inside you forever. Trevor Willis

Betty, you have been an inspiration to me as you have been to so many other people that you have touched over the years. I could actually see the light of the Lord shining in your face. You were always so warm and cheerful anyone talking to you wouldn't have known the battle you were fighting against this horrible disease. You fought so very hard and wouldn't hear of doing any less. I know you are in a better place now free of suffering and pain. I hope you knew how much you touched my heart. Rest in peace Love Cindy
