Wallace "Chick" R. Foutz, Sr., 87, of Roanoke passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Ridenhour Foutz, and his brothers and sisters. Mr. Foutz served in the Army Air Corps in World War II. During his service with the 7th Airborne he was awarded for Battle Stars. Surviving are his sons, Stephen L. Foutz and wife Rita of Salem; Gary W. Foutz of Roanoke; Wallace R. Foutz, Jr. and wife Harriet of Hanover; grandchildren, Ami Meador and husband Chris of Salem; Julia Foutz and Tanner Foutz both of Hanover. A graveside service will be conducted at 10 AM Friday, August 13, 2010 in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park by the Rev. Troy Mays. There will be no visitation. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. 366-0707.
