William A. (Willie) Nester 65 of Roanoke formerly of Martinsville went to be with the Lord on Wednesday November 5, 2014. He was preceded by his wife Katherine Nester and his parents.
Willie was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt. A very loving stepfather, grandfather, brother and a friend who will be dearly missed by all.
Surviving are three stepchildren, J. Wayne Shrader, Thomas Shrader and wife Deb, William Shrader and wife Kristia; three grandchildren, Chris, Kenna and Zach Shrader; three brothers, Roger Nester and wife Gerry, James Nester and wife Phyllis, Kenneth Nester; a sister, Alice Eure and husband Danny, along with other family members.
A graveside service celebrating Willie's life will be held 2:00pm Friday November 7, 2014 in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Rev. Ken Butterworth officiating. Family will receive friends Friday from 1:30pm until service time in the mausoleum. Friends may send their condolences to the family by visiting www.simpsonfuneral.com.
