Obituary of Betty Snider

Betty C. Snider, 85, of Roanoke, and formerly of Wytheville, went to be with the Lord and family, Thursday, September 18, 2014. Betty was preceded in death by her parents James and Lula Catron; husband James F. Snider; and brothers, James and Joe Catron. Left to cherish her memory are her children; Frank Snider & wife Terri, Kirt Snider & wife Lavonda; and Kimberly Cox and special friend Chris Goode; grandchildren, Drew Cox, Jessica Snider, Brandy Cox, and Jimmy Snider; great-grandchild, Carson Huff; sisters, Irene Umberger, and Mary Lou Dean; sisters-in-law, Louise Catron, and Judith Catron; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Betty worked as a hair dresser for countless years up to her death. She treasured her customers as true friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Betty's name to Trinity Lutheran Evangelical Church 4040 Williamson Road Roanoke Va. 24012. The family will receive friends, Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 3-7 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, September 22, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Simpson Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth P. Lane officiating.
