Charles William "Bill" Cochran, 77, of Roanoke formerly of Midlothian Virginia, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, August 12, 2014. Bill was a retired Air Force veteran of 20 years. After his Air Force days, he served as a claims adjuster for United Insurance Company of America, and as an aid on a special needs bus. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Raymond & Edna Cochran; daughter, Debra Feister; stepson, Barry Jarvis; and a grandson, Andrew Spradling. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, and childhood sweetheart Janet Cochran; son, Rick Cochran; daughters, Deb & husband Jerry, Darlene & Husband Kevin; sister, Pat Wallace; as well as a special niece Linda Draper, and many grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Bill's name to Shenandoah Baptist Church, 6520 Williamson Road, Roanoke Virginia 24019. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, August 15, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home with Rev. Robert L. Alderman officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. (540)366-0707.
