Laura Victoria Lee, 22 of Fincastle passed away Monday, August 11, 2014. She was a 2010 graduate of Northside High School and attended the Culinary Institute of Virginia. Surviving are her son, Dexter Coleman; father, Mike Lee; mother, Susan Lee; brothers, Hunter and Dennis Lee; grandfathers, Ed Nelson and wife Trina, and Ray Lee; grandmother, Geri Nelson; godfather, Larry Hipes; special friends, Kaitlyn, Jordan, Trevor, and Brittany; and numerous aunts, uncles and other extended family members. The family offers their special thanks to the Oncology Unit at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, the staff at Blue Ridge Cancer Care, the doctors at Duke University Hospital, and Carilion Hospice for their many acts of kindness. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. Troy Mays. A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday in Antioch Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Franklin County. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
