Helen Blankenship Sink, 92, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, August 3, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and a brother. She was a member of Hollins Road Baptist Church. Mrs. Sink was a longtime employee of Kenrose Manufactruing and later retired from Maid Bess. Surviving are her children, David Sink and wife Vicky, Donn Hopkins and husband Bee; grandchildren, Angie Kelley, Chris Sink and wife Debbie, Carie Hopkins, Kevin Sink and wife Betsy; great grandchildren, Ashley Kelley, Kristi Asbury and husband Justin, Blake Kelley, and Travis Sink; great grandchildren, Gavin Sink and Kaiden Sink; and one Great Great Great Grandchild, Kinley Kelley; sister, Hazel Harris and numerous nieces and nephews. Many thanks to the staff at Springtree for their many acts of love and compassion. Funeral services will be conducted Noon Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. Mark Washington. Interment will follow in Fair View Cemetery. The family will received friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
