Wayne D. Salisbury, age 73, of Roanoke passed away on July 16, 2014 after many years of declining health. He leaves his wife and caregiver of 40 years, Tobey Salisbury. After 26 years of service to his country in the Air Force, Wayne and Tobey choose to move to Roanoke, VA to be close to their loving family, their grandson, Jeremy Hall, his wife Melissa, and great-granddaughters Hailey and Leah. Wayne is survived by daughters, Lynn, and son-in-law, Mike Moore of Indian Land, SC, Becky Hall and Rhonda Nordeen of Minnesota and grandchildren Emma, Molly, and Jack also residing in Minnesota. Wayne will be remembered as a man that loved his family, God, his country, and flying. Tobey would like to thank Wayne's medical team at the Salem VA Medical Center for their superior medical care and the kindness shown to him and his family.
