Jackie "Jack" Clinton Garner was lifted up on July 8, 2014. Beloved husband of Suzanne, Jack was born on October 11, 1933, in Greensboro, North Carolina. He was a decorated Korean War Veteran. Educated in North Carolina, California, and New York, he moved to the Roanoke Valley in 1967. He and his wife are forever grateful for the loving support of family and close friends.
Special thanks to a dear friend, Mary Fochtman. Sincerest gratitude to VA dialysis group and the many other medical and nursing staff for their loving care.
A private memorial will be held at a later date for the family.
Jack was an animal whisperer, and it is requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the SPCA in Jack's memory. Friends may send their condolences to the family by visiting www.simpsonfuneral.com. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home and Crematory, 366-0707.
