Robert Wayne (Skeebo, Robbie) Ferris, age 68, of Goodview, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2014. His father, Noah E. Ferris and brother, William Ferris, preceded him in death.
Robert is survived by his wife, Lynn, mother, Louise Ferris; children, Tim Webster (Julia); David Ferris (Laura); Rhonda Prillaman and Rebecca West; brother Tim Ferris (Cheryl); sister, Patricia Ferris. He was retired from Norfolk Southern Corporation.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at First Christian Church of Vinton with Rev. Brian Geiser and Rev. Joey Phillips (of Goodview Baptist) officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to First Christian Church of Vinton Building Fund, 302 Sixth Street, Vinton, VA 24179, or a favorite charity.
