Obituary of Wyona Ratcliff

Wyona Faye Rickman Ratcliff 52 of Vinton Passed away Saturday May 24, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. Wyona loved her husband, family, and friends. She also loved to sit and relax playing Bingo. She was lovingly cared for by her husband Donald and stepdaughter Heather during her final days. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who was deeply cared for and will be missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory is her loving and devoted husband of 15 years, Donald Ratcliff; daughters Barbie Blank and husband Jon, and Lesleigh Rickman; step-children Heather Chisom and husband Jonathan, and Nicholas Ratcliff; eleven grandchildren Destinee, Ethan, Austin, Gabrielle, Wyatt, Nyzyer, Zoe, Kole, Shaelyn, McKenzie, and Tayten; two brothers Roger Rickman and Aubrey Rickman, Jr.: along with her faithful canine companions Sassy, Muffy, and Bella. Family would like to give a special thank you to the Carilion Hospice and Lisa Gunter, RN for their excellent care during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Roanoke Valley SPCA in her name. A memorial service celebrating Wyona's life will be held 10:00am Saturday May 31, 2014 in Simpson Funeral Home with Rev. Troy Mays officiating. Fellowship will follow the service in the funeral home.
