Jeffery Allen Reed (Pop), 53, of Roanoke- loving husband, father, and grandfather (Pawpaw)- went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 9, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Madeline Reed. Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Sandra Louise Reed; son, Justin Allen Reed and wife Tracy of Monroe, N.C.; daughter, April Byrd and husband Michael of Roanoke; grandchildren, Austin, Aiden, Elissa, Ivy, Emily, and Jo-Joe; brothers, Rodney Reed and wife Karen of Arizona; Kenny Reed and wife Janet of Kansas; Tim Reed and wife Kelly, Pat Reed and wife Mary, and Norman Reed all of North Carolina; sister, Teresa Reed of Radford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
A celebration of Jeff's life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road. The family will receive friends following the service. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home, 366-0707.
