Dorothy K. Williams, 87, of Roanoke flew up to heaven on the wings of angels past the clouds and stars where no one sees on Tuesday, December 27, 2011. Today she walks with her Lord Jesus and the loved ones that went before. One of those to precede her, was her husband, Joe D. Williams. Surviving are her son, Jay D. Williams and wife Jane; daughter, Jamie W. Greenwood and husband Jerry "Pete" all of Roanoke; grandchildren, Jeremy L. Williams, Jason A. Williams and wife Karen, Tarah A. Greenwood, Jessica L. Williams, and Jennifer L. Williams. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Mission Fund C/O Northview United Methodist Church P O Box 7131 Roanoke, Virginia 24019. Funeral services will be condcuted 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2011 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. Joe Klotz. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
