Obituary of William Plunkett

W. Kirk Plunkett, 44, of Roanoke passed away Sunday, December 25, 2011. He was preceded in death by an uncle, Henry Wilson Plunkett and his grandmothers, Mary Dove Starkey and Helen Thomasson Plunkett. Kirk was a 1985 graduate of Cave Spring High School, a graduate of the University of South Florida, and a graduated of Radford University. He was a member of the Cave Spring Masonic Lodge and had worked as a financial analyst. Surviving are his sons, Jacob Tyler Plunkett and Jonathan Kyle Plunkett; father and mother, Roney and Susan Starkey Plunkett of Moneta; sister, Kristie Plunkett Robers and husband Rick; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the Carilion Clinic Hospice of Franklin County 180 Floyd Avenue Rocky Mount, Va. 24151. A memorial service will be conducted 4 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Cave Spring United Methoidsit Church 4505 Hazel Drive S.W. by the Rev. John Hemming.
