Linda Frances Starnes went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at the home of her devoted sister and brother-in-law. Linda was a member of Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church in St. Louis, Missouri where she was surrounded by many devout and loving friends. They were her second family. Linda was a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for many years in St. Louis. Christian principals and prayer were the foundation and underpinnings of her professional life and friendships. Linda is survived by her devoted brother-in-law and sister, Michael and Meredith Naumann; adoring nieces, Rebecca Ann Deary and husband Thomas Deary, great niece Aja Frances Deary; Rachel Marie Burke and husband David Burke; Marianne Elizabeth Lamb and husband Gerald (Tripp) Lake Lamb, III; special friends, (caretakers in St. Louis) Nancy and Lockwood Hill Special thanks to the faithful congregation of Westminster Presbyterian Church who have lovingly embraced Linda in her Christian and Spiritual journey. The family would also like to offer their special thanks to Dr. William Fintel of Blue Ridge Cancer Care and to the staff of Good Samaritan Hospice for their many acts of kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Good Samaritan Hospice 2408 Electric Road Roanoke, Virginia 24018. The family will honor Linda's request that there be no public viewing or visitation. Private Christian burial in Evergreen Burial Park. The Rev. Kyle Ferguson of Westminister Presbyterian Church PCA will officiate. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
