Benny was a great man.. I fought fires with him for many years at the Vinton Fire Dept.. I always enjoyed our trips to Charlotte for the nascar races and playing softball on our fire department team. Benny will surely be missed.

Benny was a fellow Firefighter Brother and a great Fire Chief. He dedicated many years of service to the citizens of Vinton and surrounding Roanoke County. He was a well respected Chief, whom I am proud to call a friend.

So many memories- from the day mama put my new baby brother in my arms and I rocked him and hugged him tightly, to watching him play ball games, seeing him develop into the wonderful man he became. I will miss picking up the phone and hearing “hey Sis, what you doing?” I love you Ben Ben ❤️❤️

Dear family
So sorry and sad to hear of Benny's passing, he was such a sweet sensitive man with a heart of gold, I have so many fond memories of our days in the fire department, I loved his dedication as a fireman even heard stories of him leaving school to go answer calls , he and (Patricia) as only Benny called her were one of my favorite couples, I miss our Friday night dinners and annual Christmas party in their home , the installation banquet where Benny would dance with everyone and the fireman's convention in VA Beach, such good times and wonderful memories . He will be missed. He was loved by so many people and this will be a great loss . Just know his spirit lives on and he is free so fly high friend until we all meet again

May God bless you all during this difficult time.
