Obituary of George B. Clement

George Butler Clement, 96, widower of Bernice V. Clement, to whom he was married for 72 years, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 8, 2024. He was the son of the late Edward and Bell Overfelt Clement. He was also preceded in death by 15 brothers and sisters. He was retired from the City of Roanoke where he worked for more than 30 years in various capacities.

George will be missed and remembered by his children, Michael (Mary) Clement, Donna West, Judy (Terry) Tabor, William “Bill” (LaDonna) Clement, and Elaine Carr; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews and other family members too numerous to mention.

A service to honor and celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Hollins Road Church of the Brethren. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service, beginning at 12 noon.
