Obituary of Hanumareddy Bareddy

It is with a heavy heart we share that our beloved Mr.Hanumareddy Bareddy reached God's abode at 5:32 am ET on Friday, February 23rd. A devoted family man, he left surrounded by his loved ones including his wife of 53 years (Leelavathi), three daughters (Padmaja Mallidi, Nalini Kamireddy, Sunitha Veluri) and sons-in-law (Srinivas Mallidi, Nagaraja Kamireddy, Ramakrishna Veluri), and six grandchildren (Keshav, Bhargav, Nihita, Nitya, Sarayu, Divya).

Born March 2nd, 1947, in the village of Peddavaram in India, Mr. Hanumareddy Bareddy was the beloved son of Mr. Veerareddy Bareddy and Mrs. Venkatamma Bareddy. After losing their father at a very young age, his family came together, and he became the first to pursue higher education with a Bachelor's Degree at SSN College in Narasaraopeta, followed by a Masters in Chemistry in Guntur. A talented Chemistry professor and principal of Chebrole Degree College, he made a tremendous impact on countless students at each of his teaching positions. However, his most proud accomplishment was his family - his marriage of 53 years with Mrs. Leelavathi and their raising of three daughters, his close bonds with his sons-in-law, and his cherished memories with his six grandchildren.

He loved exploring and was the perfect travel buddy - infinitely curious about new cultures, foods and activities. He was always on the move and loved spending time outdoors. We will greatly miss his infectious laughter, thirst for knowledge, extreme playfulness, desire for a debate, penchant for timeliness, and deep love of family.

Please join our family on Sunday, 2/25/2024, as we pay our respects to our beloved Mr. Bareddy Hanumareddy, followed by cremation.

There will be a viewing on Sunday morning February 25, 2023  from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road Roanoke, VA  24019.
