Lou Ann Millsaps, 63, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. She was the daughter of Betty Lou Nicholson Millsaps and the late James R. Millsaps. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Millsaps; a sister, Patty Spann.

Lou Ann was a social butterfly, she cherished family time and loved making memories with her children and grandchildren. She would always say “I may not be rich but I’m rich in love”. The beach was her happy place where she would sit all day and be at peace. Lou Ann had a smile that could turn your day around. She laughed hard and loved harder, wanting the best for everyone around her. Dancing and singing would be a highlight of her day. Lou Ann was a devout Christian and loved the Lord believing and trusting in him every step of the way. She will be missed.

In addition to her mother, she will be missed and remembered by her children, Stacey Fessel (Reed) and Cory Clement (Melissa); grandchildren, Maddix, Avery, Addison, Joseph and Edmund; brothers, Tim Millsaps (Becky) and Michael Millsaps (Dana).

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road.

A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 in the Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Danny Quirin officiating.
