Obituary of Edna Ellen McConnell

Edna Ellen McConnell, 77, of Blue Ridge went home to be with the Lord Saturday January 27, 2024.  She was preceded by her husband Everette L. McConnell, son, Everette Dale McConnell, and parents, James and Venia Ramsey

Surviving are her daughters, Tracy Hodges (David), Stacey Ransome (Brian); grandson, Ryan Romanello; brothers, Paul Ramsey and Walter Ferguson (Wanda); “special sisters” Brenda DePriest and Leona Ramsey (Sam); and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Wildhurst Presbyterian Church 134 Wildhurst Avenue Roanoke, VA  24012.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2024 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road.  Interment will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home.  540 366 0707
