Obituary of Marian Ruth Love Walawski

Marian Ruth Love Walawski, 91, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Monday, January 22, 2024.  She was preceded by her parents, James Clifford and Pearl Davis Love, her husband of 64 years, Robert “Bob” Joseph Walawski, brother, Donald Love and a devoted friend, Coretta Sanderson.

Marian was a Charter Member of Northview United Methodist Church.  She retired from National Business College.

Surviving are her daughters, Rebecca Tabor (Larry), Katherine Ashwell, and Sandra Cole (Chuck); grandchildren, Katherine Lowder (John), David Brett Ashwell, Tara Cole Byrne (Tyler), and Blake Conner Cole; great grandchildren, Nathan, Connor, and Tyson.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association for the research of Alzheimer’s and related dementias.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday January 29, 2024 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor Doug Sasser.  Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home.  540 366 0707
