Obituary of Earl Alvin Day

Earl A. Day, 80, of Roanoke, VA, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
He was born September 14, 1943, in Richlands, VA.

He was retired from Empire Food Brokers, and previously was the owner of Eagle Auto Parts. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roby and Pearl Day, three brothers, and three sisters.

Surviving is his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth K. “Becky” Day; son, Benjamin Day; grandson, Christian Day, brothers-in-law, Robin (Susan) Kidd, and Tucker (Renee) Kidd, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will have a Memorial Service at 11:30am on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Windsor Hills United Methodist Church, 3591 Windsor Road SW, Roanoke, VA 24018, officiated by Pastor Jennifer Fletcher. A reception will follow, also at the church.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Windsor Hills United Methodist Church in memory. The family also encourages trees to be planted in his honor.
