Carl “Sunny” Clinebell, a beloved resident of Roanoke, VA, passed away on January 4, 2024, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and a deep connection to the community he called home. Sunny's devotion to his family, friends, and the Roanoke Valley defined his life, and his memory will be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Sunny, a third-generation contractor, dedicated his life to his craft, contributing to the growth and development of the Roanoke Valley. His commitment to excellence and his tireless work ethic were a testament to his family's legacy.
Sunny enjoyed playing pool with his brother Ricky and his lifetime friend Tommy, traveling, and exploring new locations with his beloved wife, Anita, listening to music, and caring for his faithful canine companions who brought him joy.
Sunny was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Anita Clinebell. He is survived by his brother, Rick Clinebell; son, Eric Ratcliffe and wife Michelle; grandchild, Erica Campbell and husband Jordon; great-grandchildren, Cody and Aria and stepson, Chris Smith and wife Tracie.

A life celebration gathering to honor Sunny's memory will be held at a later date for friends and family. Details will be announced in the coming weeks.
