Obituary of Marjorie "Tina" Cline Scavotto

Marjorie Ann Cline “Tina” Scavotto, 88, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Monday, January 8, 2024.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Scavotto and her precious dog, Sparky.

Mrs. Scavotto was a graduate of Mount Sidney High School.  Mrs. Scavotto was employed by General Electric for many years.  She also worked in child care and as a nursing assistant.  She was a member of the Community of Faith Church.

Surviving is her son, Bruce Bailey; daughter, Sherrie Bailey Faries; grandchildren, Erika Stevens (Jonathan), Brandon Bailey, Troy Faries (Kristina), Robert Faries (Alison), Amanda Almazon (Jackson Gomez), and Ashley Faries; Great Grandchildren, Andreas Almazon, River Faries, Gwen Faries, and Makaiah Gomez; sister, Shirley Spiggle Carter; and step children, Maria LaVoie and Stephen Scavotto.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 15, 2023 at the Community of Faith Church 5343 Fallowater Lane Roanoke, VA by Pastor Jim Hain.  A graveside service will be conducted 3:00 p.m.  Monday in Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery 160 Mount Pisgah Road Mount Sidney, Va.  The family will receive friends at the church Monday morning one hour prior to the service.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home.  540-366-0707
