Obituary of Lawrence Wayne Tuck

Lawrence Wayne Tuck, 75, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 after a long battle with Cancer. He was the son of the late Laurie H. Tuck, Jr. and the late Mabel Gertrude Wright Tuck.

Wayne worked for more than 30 years for Roanoke Cement Company and during that time he made numerous friendships. He also had many friends in the “muscle car group” that he enjoyed spending time with. He loved anything to do with the outdoors and his main hobby was splitting wood for his outside stove.

He is survived by his sons, Brandon Tuck (Missy) and Jacob Tuck (Lauren); grandchildren, Hope, Mackenzie, Mason, and Atleigh Tuck; sister, Rosemary Harris (Tim), long-time life partner of 26 years, Sue LaPrade; step-daughter, Tammy Parr (Mike); nephews, Garrett Harris & fiancé Adeline, and Lance Harris.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 8, 2024 in the Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Simpson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society @ www.donate.cancer.org
