Obituary of Carolyn B. Stevens

Carolyn Bentley Stevens, 85, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord peacefully and surrounded by family, on Thursday, December 28, 2023.  She was preceded by her husband of 66 years, Robert A. "Bob" Stevens; parents, Royal J. and Elizabeth Scott Bentley, and brother, Clayton Bentley.

Carolyn retired from Davis H. Elliott Electrical Contractors.  She was a long time member of North Roanoke Baptist Church where for many years she served as choir pianist.

Surviving are her sons, Mike Stevens (Debra), Jeff Stevens (Christi), and Jim Stevens (Jill); granddaughters, Kaila and Savannah Stevens, and Brandi Jones Wilkerson (Matt); great grandchildren Silas Grey Wilkerson and Spencer Grace Wilkerson; sister -in-law, Anita "Sunny" Bentley; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the American Cancer Association or the Alzheimer's Association.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor Daniel Palmer.  Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at Simpson Funeral Home.  540-366-0707
